Kangar – His Royal Highness the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail, graciously attended a Dinner Reception with the Delegates of the Perlis International Sunnah Convention 2026 (PISC 2026), held at Elissa Hotel & Suites, Kangar.
His Royal Highness was received by the Mufti of Perlis, Sahibus Samahah Prof. Dato' Arif Perkasa Dr. Mohd Asri bin Zainul Abidin, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs), Haji Mohd Nazim bin Haji Mohd Noor.
The dinner was attended by distinguished international scholars and preachers, including Sheikh Datuk Hussain Yee, Sheikh Abdul Raheem Green, Sheikh Assim Al-Hakeem, Sheikh Abdul Raheem McCarthy, Sheikh Abu Usamah Al-Thahabi, Sheikh Farhan Rafee, Sheikh Dr. Zakir Naik, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Salah, Sheikh Haitham Al-Haddad, and Sheikh Mohammad al-Naqwi.
PISC 2026 is an international academic convention that brings together scholars and seekers of knowledge to promote Islamic understanding based on the Qur’an and the Sunnah. The convention is an annual programme organised by the State of Perlis and is listed in the official calendar of Visit Perlis Year 2024–2026.
PISC 2026 is held from 31 January to 1 February 2026 at Dewan 2020, Kangar, featuring lectures, academic presentations, forums, and interactive sessions by local and international scholars, in line with the methodology of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama‘ah.
The convention is organised by the Perlis State Mufti Department with the main support of MAIPs, in collaboration with various government agencies, academic institutions, and non-governmental organisations, contributing to the positioning of Perlis as a centre of Islamic knowledge and knowledge-based tourism.
