GUIDELINES FOR THE IMAM AFTER PRAYER

1. The imam performs remembrance (dhikr) after prayer based on the sunnah of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).

2. The imam performs dhikr individually and is encouraged to perform dhikr based on the post-prayer dhikr guidelines issued by the Perlis State Mufti Department.

3. The imam should turn to face the congregants after reciting istighfār three times and reciting اللهم أنت السلام.... whether facing the right row, the left row, or turning the face directly toward the congregants.

4. The imam should lower his voice when performing dhikr except for the purpose of teaching other congregants for a specified period only.
