SPECIFYING THE RECITATION OF YASIN ON FRIDAY NIGHT

Specifying the recitation of Surah Yasin on Friday night has no basis in authentic hadith from the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). Meanwhile, the narration encouraging the recitation of Surah Yasin on Friday is not authentic. In fact, there is an authentic narration from him regarding the recitation of Surah al-Kahf on Friday. Therefore, Muslims are encouraged to recite Surah al-Kahf on Friday beginning from its night. Similarly, there is no specification for the recitation of Surah Yasin at a particular time; however, Surah Yasin may be recited at any time without restriction to a particular time.
