RECITATION OF BASMALAH IN PRAYER
The recitation of Basmalah whether in silently or aloud is included among matters of authoritative scholarly disagreement. However, the fatwa of Perlis gives preference to the recitation of Basmalah in silently as it is supported by the stronger evidences.
Resolved at the Meeting of the Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Istiadat Melayu Perlis No. 5 of 2018 convened on 27 September 2018.
