SUPPLICATION AFTER FUNERAL PRAYER
Supplicating immediately after completing the funeral prayer is not included among the proprieties and procedures of the funeral prayer. The Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and his companions never practiced it. If it were a recommended practice, it would certainly have been narrated from the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him). Instead, they were content with the supplication contained within the funeral prayer itself. Therefore, Muslims should strive to align their practices with the Sunnah of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) by not adding any further supplication after completing the funeral prayer.
