Ruling On Marriage Contracts In The Mosque

RULING ON MARRIAGE CONTRACTS IN THE MOSQUE
Marriage is not conditioned to be performed in the mosque; however, it may be conducted in the mosque and is even recommended if it fulfills the etiquettes and regulations of the mosque. If performed in the mosque, the administrative regulations by JAIPs must be complied with, namely:
1. Wedding equipment may not be brought into the mosque except with special permission.
2. No wedding ceremonies may be held in the mosque except for the marriage contract.
3. Must not cause disturbance to congregants who are worshipping in the mosque.
4. It must not be held during obligatory prayer times that could disturb congregational worshippers.
5. Ensuring decent attire appropriate to mosque etiquette.
6. Not performing any actions or conduct that arouse passion or cause temptation.
